Use of PTO Funds: |
Last year the PTO was able to donate over $6,500.00 directly to the school from funds earned through our Gold C coupon book sale, wristband sales, concession sales, and PTO memberships.
Items financed from PTO funds are as follows: (not all purchases/services are listed)
Headphones
athletic equipment/mascot uniform
digital cameras
printers
computer stations
teacher luncheons
This year our goal is to donate over $10,000.00 to the students and staff at Wunderlich. Please help us reach that goal by participating in all our fund-raising events and by getting involved.
Speaking of getting involved, as parents we strongly encourage you to get involved with your student's academic and extra-curricular activities. |
|
Volunteering: |
Please consider volunteering at our school. The more help we can get, the smoother all the programs will run. We are fortunate to have an extremely diverse group of people with so many different talents on our campus, please share some of your time and expertise with all of us. If you are interested in volunteering, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Zaira Garcia, at zairag@sbcglobal.net or simply complete the volunteer form in your beginning-of-the-school-year student packet and return it to school. We will contact you by September 15, 2007.
Please click here to learn more about becoming a volunteer in Klein ISD and to access the forms required of all volunteers.
We understand not everyone has time to volunteer, but we hope everyone will participate in our school fundraisers. By participating in the fundraisers, you are contributing to our school. |

Gold C Coupon Book Fundraiser: |
Our Gold C coupon book sale will begin on September 7, 2007, and will end on September, 21, 2007. Each child will be sent home with one Gold C coupon book, please use this book as a sample to take orders. Checks can be written to the WIS-PTO. All checks or sample books are due back to the school by September, 21, 2007.
Several incentives will be in place for the students and teachers. Please review the sales flyer, which will be sent home with the coupon books. The coupon books sell for $10.00 each. We would like each family to sell at least one Gold C coupon book.
We encourage you to sell the coupon books at your workplace, if this type of activity is allowed. You can accompany your child/children to sell to friends, neighbors, relatives, church groups, or any organizations you or your family may belong to. Do not allow students to sell door to door alone or to strangers. |
|
Membership: |
Another way in which you can help our school is by joining the PTO. A family membership is $5.00 and a single parent membership is only $3.00. If you would like to become a member, simply send a check made payable to the WIS-PTO to the front office of the school. |
|
You can also help earn money for the school by participating in any of the following programs: |
- Kroger Share Cards: Get your Kroger Share Card today at the front office. Take the card with you and, next time you make a purchase at Kroger, show the cashier your card. 1% of all purchases will come back to Wunderlich to help support the school.
- Randall’s Good Neighbor Program: Link your Randall’s Remarkable Card to Wunderlich. The school has a special Good Neighbor Program code. Go to the courtesy booth at your Randall’s store and ask them for the application. The code for Wunderlich is 3151. To learn more about the Good Neighbor Program go to www.randalls.com
- The Funding Factory Recycling Program:
Simply donate your old ink/toner cartridges, cell phones, and books. It’s free and easy, but we must have your help to make this program a success. Remember the old saying, “One man’s trash…is another man’s treasure”. Help our school by donating your used books, old cell phones, and empty ink/toner cartridges. Donations will be accepted at the front office of the school.
- Box Tops for Education: Simply cut out these labels, put them in the deposit box located in the front office, and we will once again turn your trash into cash. (A list of qualified brands can be downloaded below.)
- Target Take Charge of Education Program:
There’s a wonderful, simple way for you to help us raise funds for our school. All you have to do is use your Target VISA or Target Card and a percentage of each purchase you make goes back to the school in the form of a cash donation from Target twice a year. The money can be used for things that aren’t in the budget, like new computers, A/V equipment and many other resources for the classrooms – things that can really benefit your child/children and the other students at Wunderlich. Help us help Wunderlich through the Target Take Charge of Education program. Just visit target.com/tcoe or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school.
