The Klein Independent School District (KISD) has a deep concern for the safety and security of its students, employees, and patrons while they are attending football games at Klein Memorial Stadium. To address this societal issue the school district has installed video cameras in various locations of the stadium and the cameras are monitored throughout the event. In addition, there is a screening process that includes the use of metal detectors.

All Patrons, employees, and students will be scanned and the contents of purses, backpacks, and other similar items will be inspected upon entry to the stadium if the alarm is activated. Unneeded metal objects should be left at home. It is suggested that spectators arrive at the KISD stadium early enough to allow the time necessary for this procedure.

The purpose of implementing these security measures is to prevent anyone from bringing guns or any illegal weapons into the stadium. The KISD police officers will be assisted by trained staff members. Zero tolerance of guns and illegal weapons means that the KISD will not accept any excuses. Therefore, those who possess these objects will be arrested. Your cooperation and your support are greatly appreciated.

All Vistas High School Program students are expected to be in attendance on all TAKS testing dates. A doctor’s note will be required for any student who is absent on a testing date. If medical documentation is not provided the student will be subject to removal from the Vistas High School Program.
