Students are expected to report to class on time each period. A 3rd tardy in any term, to any class, will result in a discipline referral. After the referral every third tardy will result in an absence for that class.
Any student who arrives after 7:45 must report to the office for an admit from the associate director. Any student who drives to Vistas will lose their driving privilege on his/her 3rd tardy. This privilege will be reinstated in two weeks (10 school days) if the student has not earned any tardies to any classes.
A Vistas committee will meet to review the enrollment status for any student who is habitually tardy. These students may be subject to removal from the Vistas High School Program.
Being late for a class is recognized as a tardy; but after 15 minutes into any class, it will be recognized as an absence or possible truancy. After 15 minutes, the student is to report to the front office.
