This beautiful male tanager is a common bird along the Texas coast in the spring. Try birding sometime. You might like it!

This is a Painted Lady butterfly, atop a Purple Coneflower. The butterfly kept coming back to that flower, so I kept on shooting.

This photo was taken at 11:45 p.m. (just before midnight) in Alaska. The mountains across Cook Inlet are all volcanoes!
