The Klein High School Marching Band came to Theiss to kick off our annual reading program. The music and excitement was an excellent way of motivating our students to read. Students will have an opportunity to earn various incentives as they challenge themselves to achieve academic success through reading a variety of books. Students can earn prizes and a special Star Reader T-shirt after reading a designated number of books. The special t-shirts are worn every Tuesday. At the end of the school year special awards are given to the top readers in each classroom, grade level top readers and an overall top reader for the entire school.
Our goal for all students is to create a love of reading as well as becoming life long learners. Go tigers!

The students and teachers were rockin' away listening to the Klein High School Band. The
marching band paraded through the halls of Theiss Elementary drumming up all sorts of excitement for reading.Classrooms followed the music and joined the band in the Theiss cafeteria. Hands and feet were keeping time to the music as the band blasted out familiar tunes. Theiss students and teachers are pumped up for reading.
