TEP Programming and Description
TEP serves grades one through twelve in a comprehensive program that includes specific ED/LD/OHI Special Education categories.

TEP serves moderate-to-severe behavioral challenges using content-based curriculum aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (ELA, Mathematics, Social Studies & Science/Technology).

TEP utilizes a therapeutic milieu with counseling support services.

Class sizes range from 5-12 students with high staff ratios. Classes are assigned according to age/grade levels.

Individualized reintegration into local home schools is TEP's goal. TEP provides immediate stabilization and transition into a more structured setting.

TEP has a comprehensive array of specialized interventions including: FBAs; individualized, group, and transition counseling by full time behavior intervention specialist (LSSP and LPC).

Uniforms
The uniform consists of khaki pants with white collared shirts. All clothing must be free of logos. All shirts must remain securely tucked with a brown or black belt. Black, white, or brown closed-toes shoes may be worn with matching colored laces. Boots and hard toed shoes should be avoided if student has a history of aggressive behaviors.
Point System and Levels
Each student will be able to earn points each class period. Criteria for earning points are clearly defined for the student, and feedback is continuously given regarding the earning of points. Points will be earned if a student is on task, following program expectations and demonstrating behaviors in individual education plan. Students have the opportunity to earn bonus points (unsolicited) for especially good behavior or participation.
Points can also be taken away from the student, as per the discipline policy. As students accumulate points, they move up to successively higher levels, with higher levels affording more and better privileges.
