The staff, students, parents, and guardians of the Therapeutic Education Program are committed to helping all students acquire the academic, social, and behavioral skills necessary for improving general education participation. We believe that students have the right to learn these skills in a safe, structured, therapeutic environment.

The major focus of TEP is to socialize students to normative standards in terms of interpersonal skills with peers and adults, to teach classroom behaviors that promote learning, and to encourage problem solving skills that eschew violent and aggressive strategies. TEP uses proactive strategies to decrease the incidence and prevalence of antisocial behaviors by utilizing social skills instruction, academic remediation, counseling and behavioral interventions. |
