Welcome to the home page for the Cougar Clinic.
The clinic strives to promote good student health and facilitate the educational process. The following guidelines will be helpful in assisting your child to meet their health and learning goals.
Medication
Policies: All medication brought to the clinic should be in the original container, clearly labeled with the students name, and accompanied by written parental permission. Over the counter medications must be dispensed in accordance with labeling directions. Please consult the label for your child's proper dosage and the recommended duration of use. Over the counter or non-prescription medications needed for longer than two weeks must also have a written request from a physician.
All prescription medication must be kept in the clinic in the original container with a complete and accurate prescription label. When a prescription label is not available or when a dosage change is requested, written physician orders will be required. All prescription medication must be transported to and from school by the parent. Students are not allowed to carry prescription medication on campus.
Please note that due to the dangers of REYE's
Syndrome, no aspirin or any salicylate containing product
will be administered by the clinic staff, unless expressly
ordered by your child's physician for a specific diagnosis.

dispensing herbal preparations.
