Sixth and Seventh Grade Language Arts
My name is Mrs. Strole. I teach Sixth grade Language Arts and Seventh grade Language Arts at Doerre. I am currently on my eighth year in the classroom and have loved every minute of it! Expectations
Sixth and Seventh Grade English Expectations

1. Students must have supplies at all times. If you do not have an essential supply, you will have to take a tardy to go and find that supply. Essential supplies are paper, pen or pencil, your English binder and any needed workbooks.
2. Spelling tests will be given weekly. (6th Grade)
a. You will be given a PRE TEST and a POST TEST. The PRE TEST will be on Monday. Any words you misspell must be written THREE times each by FRIDAY. You will turn your pre test and your corrections in on Friday. This is worth 35 points.
b. You will be given a worksheet weekly. This is due on Friday with both sides complete. This is worth 35 points.
c. You will take a POST TEST on Friday. This is worth 30 points.
3. You will need a Mead Notebook.
4. Homework will be taken up daily. Any assignment that is incomplete can be made up by the next day for 50% off of your grade.
5. Major assignments are worth 60% of your grade. You will lose 10 points per day if the assignment is late. You will only have three days to turn the assignment in or you will receive a zero.
6. You will raise your hand to speak in class. If you do not, you will be sent out.
7. You will throw trash away at the end of the class. There will be no “roaming” around the room.
8. You will raise your hand to ask permission to get a tissue or to sharpen your pencil.
9. Hall passes are given only in the case of an emergency. You are expected to use the restroom during your break.
10. Respect of others is a must. If you are disrespectful, you will be removed from the class with a consequence.
11. Silly behavior will not be tolerated. If you cannot control yourself, you will be removed from the class with a consequence.
12. Parent contact is established throughout the year for any positive or negative behaviors.
