Salvete ad latinam I et II. My name is Magistra De Pedro and I teach Latin I and II. I have been at Klein High School for 5 years now and it is my desire to instill the joy and benefits of Latin into my students. I have specific goals which I will strive to help my students achieve. First, the language will be presented within the context of the ancient world and hopefully the students will come to realize the impact this ancient culture has had on our society today. Through ancient literature, Roman history, and Roman culture, the students will gain an appreciation of the similarities and differences between our culture and those of Ancient Rome. Finally, my goal is to help students attain an acceptable degree of proficiency in the basic skills of listening, translating, speaking and writing.
