FRENCH CLUB “Le Club Français” (ALL GRADE LEVELS) |
Requirements: None. You do not have to be taking a French class to join the French Club.
Interest in French-speaking cultures and learning some French.
Activities: Cultural activities to enhance learning French; celebrating French holidays like
Le Toussaint (Nov. 1); le Noël; la Nouvelle Année (New year); Mardi Gras, etc.;
Various Field trips; Christmas party; Foreign Language Week; and helping with Freedom Trek multi-cultural event in January.
Meeting time: 2 Fridays per month; 4:10—4:45 pm

“JARS OF CLAY” CHRISTIAN CLUB (ALL GRADE LEVELS) |
Requirements: Interest in developing Christian faith and growing to understand the Word of God from the Bible. Interest in developing a closer relationship with God through prayer.
Activities: Bi-monthly meetings (2nd & 4th Tuesdays); Bible Study & Prayer; See You at the Pole (4th Weds. morning in September); fall fundraiser, Christian Rock concerts, Christmas Party; Christmas Toy Drive & Winter clothing drive; Teddy Bear collection in February for abused children; and other field trips are optional.
Meeting time: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month 8:30—9:00 am in room 435 AND
4:05—5:00 pm---members may attend either or both meetings.

Requirements: Must have been enrolled during the first six-weeks in the Klein School
District. Candidates for membership must have a minimum cumulative
semester average of 90. Candidates must have no “U’s” or no more than one “P” in
conduct for the first semester.
Activities: Provide services, as needed.
Meeting time: Friday Morning @ 8:20 in the Library

SPEECH AND DRAMA CLUB (ALL GRADE LEVELS) (ALL GRADE LEVELS) |
Requirements: Must maintain passing grades in all subjects, E & S in conduct only. Must audition for the team.
Activities: Participate in speech tournaments.
Meeting time: One morning meeting the week of the tournament. Any other meetings will be posted on teacher websites and students informed at school. Members are expected to attend all activities.
Coaching: Coaching is scheduled by the student with one of the coaches. It is the student's responsibility to seek coaching. Debate Team and group events will have a regularly scheduled rehearsal time and all team members are expected to attend.

STUDENT COUNCIL (ALL GRADE LEVELS) |
Requirements: Must maintain a “B” average with no “U’s” and not more than one “P” in
conduct. The president and vice-president must be a student in the 8th
grade, the year of service. Other officers may be from any grade level.
Classroom representatives must maintain a “C” average each six weeks
with no “U’s” and no more than two “P’s” in conduct.
Activities: Service to the school; plan and implement student activities for the year.
Meeting time: Meetings vary, notification will be put in the daily bulletin.
