Dear Parents,
Well, summer is FINALLY upon us...we were ALL feeling like it would never get here!!!n We are all thinking about swimming, sleeping late, bike-riding, and playing from dawn to dusk!! I, too, am ready for a break...lots of reading and rest for me!!
I can't let this year end without saying a few words to you about your precious children...all of them...both Mrs. Cole's homeroom and mine!
On the first or second day of school, I told OUR children that we would be like a family. I said that I was sort of their "school" mom! I said I would love them and treat them as I hope that the teachers of my own children treated them. I said that I would expect the VERY best from each and every one of them...academically and socially! We have had a very good year. There have been a few trying times and many wonderful times! I have thoroughly enjoyed your children! I want to thank you so much for entrusting them to my "care" these past months.
I hope that you will read with and to your children this summer! Go to the library with your child. It will be wonderful for both of you!
I would like to share something that expresses how I feel about working with your children. I don't know who the author is, but he/she expresses how I feel:
"One hundred years from now...it will not matter what my bank account was, the type of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."
Your child has been very important in my life, and I hope that my influence will long remain with him/her!
God bless and keep you and your family!
Sincerely,
Sheri Butler
