Grading System |
Daily grades are 40% of student's grade.
1 day late -25pts.
2 days late zero
Major grades are 60% of the student's grade.
1 day late -11 pts.
2 days late -21pts.
3 days late zero
Grades come from quizzes, journals, warm ups, literature, grammar, novel, TAKS skills, technology and writing...
Regulars and Honors must maintain a 70 for the year to be promoted to 8th grade.
GT students must maintain a 75 for the year to be promoted to 8th grade. | | |

Textbooks |
Each student received a Grammar textbook this year. There will be homework out of this book occasionally. | |

Extra Credit |
1. Book Worm Challenge- read a book at home that is 7th grade level and fill out a form found in Mrs. Bailey's room. Return for extra points.
2.Scavenger Hunt- occasionally I will have a fun activity on my website for student's pleasure. All they have to do is bring me whatever I am looking for. (You may have to do a little bit of work, but remember, you get bonus points)
