Dear Parents,
We are into our second semester at Roth! Awards were given out yesterday and report cards go home today. Congratulations to Amanda Tan and Carter Freeman. They won the bikes from the Champion Sunrise Rotary Club. Mr. Hester came to present them today. Students who had perfect attendance, straight A’s or perfect behavior for the semester got a chance to participate in the raffle.
Roth will have a fundraiser starting on February 2nd. Students will be asked to help us by selling Aunt Annie’s pretzels and dough. These will be delivered the week after Spring Break. This money will be used for our field trips for next year and for new playground equipment for our children. Details will be sent home in the Tuesday folders on that day. Don’t forget the PTO Carnival on Friday, March 26th. We will need lots of help to make this an enjoyable family/community outing.
Many thanks go out to our PTO for their help with the many projects they have helped us with throughout the first semester. (Book Fair, teacher luncheons, our 25th celebration, holiday parties, Grandparents Day and Kidz Korner to name a few.) We appreciate your time and efforts to help our students and teachers at Roth Elementary.
Our Open House for this semester will take place on February 18. Students will do a History Alive presentation, a music program presented by our third graders and a P.E. challenge – Are You Healthier and Stronger Than a Fifth Grader??
We would like to welcome Mrs. Maggie Lopez to our faculty and staff. Mrs. Lopez took Mrs. Gerrard’s position in first grade after she retired.
Please continue to help us by working with your child/children every night. If you have any questions about their work please contact your child’s teacher. Thank you again for making Roth a great place to be.
