Constant changes in the latest technology in automobiles require updates in education on a yearly basis, which in hand I pass on to the students in my class. Technical Schools and the Auto Manufacturers have made this training available to instructors in order to train the students as close to modern day technology as possible. I take every opportunity possible to receive this training.
Before students can begin their areas of study in the auto tech class, each must first understand the importance of safety in the automotive shop. Then they will learn about all the hand tools and equipment, then on into measurement, (basic rulers to measuring with micrometers). Careers in the auto industry is an eye opening experience covering, areas of employment, positions, pay scales, and opportunities to start a business. From this point we go into the service areas of auto tech, including Engine Performance, Steering and Suspension, Brakes, Electrical/Electronic Systems.
