Your child is so fortunate to be able to have his or her individual needs met by the 5th grade teachers, ESL, Resource, and Reading Specialists working together and utilizing flexible grouping of the children.
For an hour a day the 5th grade team will focus on small reading group instruction utilizing various skills and strategies.

We are using individualized spelling lists. Your child's list could consist of different words than anyone else in the room.
Make sure you keep your spelling list updated in your spelling spiral.

Language and Composition for the 9 Weeks |

Grammar - nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.
Writing - Using a Writer's Notebook to have time to write thoughts and ideas on various topics and subject areas.
We are working on writing thoughts and answers in complete sentences. (restate the question in the answer WITHOUT rewriting the question).
