Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to SECOND GRADE! I am so excited about being your teacher and look forward to getting to know all of you.

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself before the year begins. The 2009 - 2010 school year will be my 29th year to teach school. I have taught fifth, fourth, and second grade. Without a doubt, second grade is my favorite! I taught 22 years in a district in the Ft. Worth area before moving to Houston, 3 years in the Cypress Fairbanks district, and I have completed 3 years in the Klein district. To prepare for an exciting career of teaching I attended Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth.

I have been married to
Mr. Rodriguez for almost 31 years. We have one son, Chris.
Mr. Rodriguez and I go to
Ft. Worth very often to visit my father, so you will hear me talk about Ft. Worth a lot. Ft. Worth was my home my entire life until six years ago when we moved to Houston.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy playing the piano for my church. Also, I am very dedicated to exercise. I have walked two miles nightly for about 22 years!
