Welcome to Advanced Placement Music Theory. The purpose of this course is to give you a strong, basic knowledge of music theory. At the end of the course, students will be adequately prepared to take the AP Music Theory Exam for college credit, answer a music theory placement test for college, begin a first year music program at any college/university or just have a better understanding of music for a greater musical experience. Students will be expected to work diligently and turn assignments in on time. This class will contain students of varying ability levels, so the curriculum will be differentiated to accommodate.
