The Klein Collins Jazz Ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Nitsch. It is comprised of students from the Klein Collins Music Department. It is comprised of the Jazz Ensemble (the class during the day) and the Big Band (which meets on select days after school). During class, students focus on jazz performance skills, mastery of instrumental improvisation, jazz theory and jazz history.
The Big Band meets after marching season and performs at various concerts as well as jazz festivals throughout the state.
