For incoming Students for Mrs. Chiong's classes for the school year 2010-2011
students need these items on the first day of classes which will count as a grade for class participation:
Sprial bound notebook just for social studies
Blue and black pen
#2 wooden Pencils for testing
a highlighter
12 colored pencils
glue sticks for their s.s. notebooks.
A zippered pouch to leave Social Studies so they always have their needed supplies.
at least (2) folders with pockets and the fasteners in the middle to keep notes and homework .
*** Instead of folders a one inch ring binder may be used and kept in the social studies classroom.*****
any student who does not have the ability to get the needed supplies, should drop Mrs. Chiong a short note with their name, needed supplies, and class period and these items will be taken care of in private.
**** With technology being a part of students' daily skills, it is suggested that students pick up a
usb memory stick
to work on projects between school and home without internet access.*******
This way students who have assignments linked to my web site can visit the site, download the information and complete the assignment without necessarily having internet availability at home.
I use my web page to list homework, projects and due date, power points for review and other things needed for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
