Welcome back to the 2010/2011 school year.

I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for 10 years, the last 8 at Klenk Elementary. My experience in teaching has always been at the fourth grade level.

I am so pleased to be your child’s teacher. My goal is to make this the most positive year possible for the students in my classes by providing a safe, nurturing, and challenging atmosphere and by encouraging all students to be and do the best they can. I hope to instill a real love of and excitement about learning that will last a lifetime. The sign inside our classroom says,

Each Monday I will post the homework, spelling words and any other vocabulary your child will need to learn.

Education should be a respectful partnership between schools and families. Please feel that you can contact me at any time to discuss your child. My true interest is in what we can do together to help your child learn to the best of his ability.
