Principal, Mrs. Carol James
A native Houstonian, Mrs. James graduated from Sam Houston High School and Texas Southern University. She earned her master's degree from the University of Clear Lake and her administrative certification from Prairie View A&M.

Mrs. James' first years in public education were as a teacher in Houston ISD. She joined the Klein ISD as a kindergarten teacher at Nitsch Elementary. After 10 years in the classroom, she became an administrator at Eiland Elementary School and Kaiser Elementary School before returning to Nitsch as principal. Mrs. James has two children, a son attending Stephen F. Austin University and a daughter who is a senior at Klein High School.
Assistant Principal, Ms. Julie Barrett
Ms. Barrett earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Texas A&M University and her Master's Degree in Gifted and Talented Education from Trinity University in San Antonio. She is certified in Special Education, Elementary Mathematics, and Administration. Her administrative certification was earned from St. Thomas University. Ms. Barrett has twenty-three years of teaching experience with third through twelfth grade students.

Ms. Barrett has three children, all of whom graduated from Klein High School. Her two sons are in college and her daughter has graduated from Randolph Macon Woman's College and now works in the Washington, DC area. In her free time, she loves to garden, read, explore digital photography, fish, and travel.
Assistant Principal, Mrs. Kathy Rachal
Although Mrs. Rachal was born in Texas, she grew up and went to school in many different places in the United States. Mrs. Rachal graduated from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, and earned her Masters Degree in Administration from Centenary, as well.

Mrs. Rachal taught for 14 years in Louisiana and for ten years in Klein ISD. She has been teaching for 24 years in Kindergarten, grades four through seven, and as a Reading Specialist.

Mrs. Rachal is married and has an 11-year-old son who will be a fifth grader this year. For fun, Mrs. Rachal likes to read and watch old movies on television.
