Marie Muller was the daughter of Albertina and William Mueller. Albertina married William Mueller shortly after she arrived in Texas in 1870. The newlyweds built a home at what is today FM 2920 and Rhodes Road. There they established themselves as farmers and ranchers on 98 acres. Marie was the oldest of the Mueller’s eight children.

From Roger Wunderlich’s book:
Elisabeth Mueller/Muller was married to Wilhelm (William) Hofius. They came to Klein in early 1881 from Feudingen, Westfallen, Prussia (Germany). William was 24 and Elisabeth was 16. Elisabeth already had relatives living in Klein-Anna Elisabeth Mueller Roth (married to Johann Heinrich Roth, Sr. (an aunt and uncle). Elisabeth’s father, Christian Mueller, came to Texas the same year in 1881 with 8 children (3 girls and five boys). These children married into/with the Hildebrandt, Hofius, Schultz, Brill, Wuensche and Hirsch families.

Current Family status:
Christian Mueller lived around 2920/Dowdell area-they definitely lived in the north end of the district near the location of elementary #26. Many of the Mueller family still live in the Klein ISD area.
