This grading period will focus on TAKS reading lessons. Finally, we go to the library every two weeks for leisure novels and they will have another book report. They are also required to do sustained silent reading daily for 10 minutes; if they do not bring their novel, it results in a zero. Please stress this to your child as I have in class. Be sure to check the homework page for daily assignments. They will not always have work to do at home, but it will keep you up to date on the deadlines for work and tests.
