We are moving along word stretching, writing sentences and starting to write stories. Encourage your children to write whenever the opportunity arises. They can help you make the grocery list, a list of things that need to be done around the house and even help with the Christmas cards. Children love to write and will love any opportunity to do so. We will have a book report due for homework. It is a good first book report. They can read any book at home or library book. Have them find the main character and tell about their favorite part of the story. Then, they draw an illustration to go along with their sentence. You may have them practice telling about their book report. I will be letting them present the reports to the class.
