Welcome Second Grade Patriots! We have set our goals and are working hard to achieve them. Here are some of the fun things we will learn during the 2nd 9 weeks:
Language Arts: Students are learning about verbs, nouns, pronouns,
contractions, antonyms and synonyms. We will also be reading Thanksgiving and Christmas literature.
Math: Students are mastering their math facts, problem solving, telling time, counting and manipulating money, base ten blocks, number patterns, temperature, and graphing.
Science: Students are studying plants and animal habitats.
Social Studies: Students are studying government.
Technology: We encourage students to work on assignments using Learning.com at home.
Parents can help their child achieve their goals by reading with them each night, helping them learn their spelling words and math facts, and having your child complete their daily homework.
