In Kindergarten, we look forward to fun-filled learning activities! We will celebrate the Thanksgiving season by learning about the Pilgrims and their experiences. We will make costumes, and enjoy our own Feast. We will entertain guests with songs we have learned. We cannot wait for you to join us for our program! We will then enjoy Holidays Around the World, learning about various countries and how they celebrate this time of year. We will hear about their customs, make an art project, and enjoy a snack from each of the different countries.
We will continue to “stretch” words, rhyme, and learn letter sounds in order to read and write. We are also increasing the number of sight words that we know. We will talk about change in matter in Science, and do experiments where WE change matter from a solid, to a liquid, and then a gas. In Math, we will work with numbers 1-10, ordinal numbers, and introduce time.
It is an exciting time in Kindergarten! We are learning more each day—and enjoying every minute of it!
