Hello! Welcome to first Grade! My name is Margaret Gerrard. I have been teaching first grade for many years. My goal for our class is to help the children be the best they can be and learn as much as they can! I feel that it is important to establish a warm and loving environment within the classroom that encourages individual growth as well as developing a sense of unity.

Mrs. Hayden and I are teaching partners. I will teach Math, Science, and Social Studies, while she will be teaching Reading, Language and Composition to our classes. Mrs. Hayden and I are looking forward to a wonderful year as we teach your children!

I came from the beautiful, but cold, state of Vermont so I decided to move to Texas. Here I met my husband and we began our practice of adopting older rescue dogs to make their elder years happy ones. We now have two scotties - Maggie and Macy.
