We have a lot of excellent programs that we are introducing to our students at Metzler. One of these programs is Project Wisdom.™ Every morning, the students benefit from this program, which is a series of messages designed to help students make wiser choices. The message is read over the intercom as part of the morning announcements. Topics include, but are not limited to, making good choices, respecting differences, accepting diversity, the importance of good character traits, such as honesty and taking personal responsibility, and how to overcome obstacles. A quote by a well-known person is usually given to enhance the message.

If you have ever been in our building between 8:20 and 8:30, you may have had the privilege to hear one of these messages. If you would like to hear one of the messages, please come by and join us one morning. Also, be sure to ask your child(ren) what they are learning from them. Chances are, the first thing they will tell you is how the message ends: “Make it a great day . . . or not. The choice is yours.” This last part is a great message in and of itself.

We feel fortunate to have this program available to assist all of our students as they learn what it means to make good choices and to develop character.
