Update: Absences |
STARTING AUGUST 22, 2011 ALL KLEIN SCHOOLS WILL REQUIRE A PARENT NOTE FOR ALL ABSENCES. WE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT PHONE CALLS AS PARENT NOTIFICATION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
Verification of Address Affidavit Guidelines - effective immediately:
The following is a summary of the KISD procedures that must be followed when establishing proof of residency by using a Verification of Address Affidavit form:
Both parent/guardian and owner/renter of residence are required to be present for enrollment and renewal.
An administrator (Ms. Rigia or Ms. Combs) must meet with the parent/guardian and owner/renter when enrolling to go over district requirements. Therefore, it might be necessary to make an appointment since our administrators are not always on campus.
This is a 30 day temporary enrollment until all requirements are met.
A new form must be completed in person each school year, even if no changes were made in the residence status. |

No Place For Hate® |
Metzler Elementary School will participate this year in the Anti-Defamation League’s campaign known as No Place For Hate®. As part of this campaign, Metzler students will participate in activities that promote tolerance and understanding of the differences that exists between us. We will learn how to show respect for different races, religions, and cultures. Our motto at Metzler is Working Together as a Team, and as a team we will strive to achieve progress in promoting our school as No Place For Hate®.
For more information you may contact the Metzler counselor’s office at 832.484.7955.
