About Our Library
The Lemm Library consists of about 11,000 books plus a number of magazines. It is located in the center of the school and is open to all students and teachers. Students in Early Childhood, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade come to the library every week. Students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5 come every two weeks for a scheduled check-out and lesson time. All students may return to the library to check out another book any time they have finished a book. Instruction in library usage, genres of literature, and reference skills is coordinated with the language arts program and other subjects as needed. Students have access to the computer card catalog, Encyclopedia Britannica Online, EBSCO (magazine and newspaper database), ABC-CLIO (history and geography), and the internet (with parent permission).
