I am looking so forward to seeing the new fifth graders as they arrive for the beginning of this new school year. I am returning to fifth grade after 6 years teaching fourth grade, so these students will find a familiar face on the hall. I know we're going to have a great year. Most of your kiddos have grown alot over the summer, so be sure to check for clothes too short ,too tight, too small before they go out the door. I look forward to speaking with you soon. All students will be required to respond to what they are reading in a journal. Watch out for the rubric on bright yellow paper to find out what should be in your response.

Check the Announcement page. We will go from colonization to modern times in the history of our great country. Look for lots of projects in this subject. . Details will be posted soon on the announcements page.

We will make time for quite a few wonderful stories, news, poems, biographies and much more. I suggest nightly reading for the best results in raising great readers and leaders!Look for special reading assignments in the agenda book. Please listen to your child read at least once a week.
