My name is Lynnell Carter and this is my first year to teach full time in the Klein School District. My teaching experience of twenty years includes teaching jr. high and high school in the Bryan-College Station area. My teaching areas include BCIS, Accounting, Keyboarding, Desktop Publishing, and A+ Certification.
I am very excited to be teaching "Career Connections," which is being offered for the first time at the intermediate level. The students will receive 1/2 high school credit at the completion of this one semester course. I will be teaching in the mornings at Hildebrandt Intermediate and in the afternoons, I will be on the Schindewolf campus.
The goal of this course is to encourage students to see the relevancy of their academic studies to their future life, explore career options, and learn basic occupational skills. Career Connections will include such components as career awareness, career exploration, career assessment, career counseling, and career planning.
