I am Lexa Blocker and I bring 14 years of experience in the Texas elementary music classroom to share with your children. Ten of these years have been spent here in Klein ISD. I am hoping that my sincerest passion for music becomes a true passion for every student here at Epps Island and Nitsch.

My plans for the upcoming year are to engage every student in learning to understand and appreciate the aspects of Music that make it’s impact so dynamic in our lives. Throughout the year, activities will focus on the elements of :

1. rhythm and solfege reading, writing and performing.
2. physical expression through movement.
3. listening for understanding and appreciation.
4. creativity through writing and performing.

Be assured that my vision for our schools is for every student to learn to love and value music as much as I do. Music has always been an undeniable and irreplaceable influence in my life. I wish this joy for your children!
