Mrs. Lambert, a mathematics teacher at Krimmel, has developed an extended instructional program with students on Saturdays during the school year at a local Starbucks in the school’s vicinity. Customers have observed as many as 40 students using mathematics problem solving skills during these Saturday sessions. The manager indicates the students are respectful, dedicated and focused on the mathematics application activities. Mrs. Lambert’s efforts build capacity and confidence in her students and have impressed a local business with evidence of her commitment to academic achievement.
