CONGRATULATIONS!
Way to go Kreinhop! At the end of the 2006-2007 school year we were awarded the NO PLACE FOR HATE award. Check out the banner in the main hallway. Let's continue to keep our campus a No Place For Hate Campus.
NO PLACE FOR HATE
Kreinhop is participating in the "NO PLACE FOR HATE" program this year. Each student has signed the heart to show that they have said the "NO PLACE FOR HATE" Resolution of Respect Pledge.
We are also doing many things around the campus to show that we are a "No Place for Hate" campus.
  • MULTI-CULTURAL AWARENESS
  • CREATED A RESPECT SONG
  • Many More Ideas to Come!!!!
  • MULTI-CULTURAL AWARENESS DISPLAYS
As part of the No Place For Hate project, we have created a "Cultural Exhibit" that will be changed monthly to reflect a different culture or cultural celebration. We will collect artifacts from students and we will set up the display in the library at the beginning of each month. Here is the schedule that we will follow this year:
  • October - Hispanic Countries
  • November- Middle Eastern Countries
  • December- Holidays Around the World
  • January-Asian Countries
  • February-African Countries
  • March-European Countries
  • April - U.S.A. including Native Americans, Eskimos, and Hawaiians
  • The display this month is for the U.S.A. including Native Americans, Eskimos, and Hawaiians. The display is in the Library and was done by the Kreinhop 4th Grade Team. Go by and learn something new today. Thank you for your wonderful support to bring cultural awareness to all our Kreinhop students.

    BOOKS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
The Books From Around the World Center display children's books representing the experiences of different ethnic groups.
"NO PLACE FOR HATE" Resolution of Respect
I pledge from this day forward to do my best to combat prejudice and to stop those who, because of hate or ignorance, would hurt anyone or violate their civil rights. I will try at all times to be aware of my own biases and seek to gain understanding of those who I perceive as being different from myself. I will speak out against all forms of prejudice and discrimination. I will reach out to support those who are targets of hate. I will think about specific ways my community members can promote respect for people and create a prejudice-free zone. I firmly believe that one person can make a difference and that no person can be an "innocent" bystander when it comes to opposing hate. I recognize that respecting individual dignity, achieving equality and promoting intergroup harmony are the responsibilities of all people. By signing this pledge, I commit myself to creating a community that is No Place for Hate.
