Krahn Elementary nurtures children and helps them grow.
The Klein Independent School District takes great pride in honoring founding families of the Klein community by naming its schools for them. This helps keep alive the cultural heritage of our area. Our elementary school was named after the Krahn family because they were a family of hard-working people who made real contributions to the community. Krahn Elementary has continued in the tradition of the early Krahn family by making contributions to the community it serves.

Today our school is a large, two story building with 61 classrooms, 1 stationary computer lab, 2 mobile wireless laptop labs, an art room, a science lab, a library, and a multi-purpose cafetorium. Approximately 900 students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth are currently enrolled at Krahn. These students reside in the Colony Creek, Champion Woods, Memorial Chase, Memorial Springs, and Champion Springs subdivisions. There are 53 teachers, and 9 support staff.

At Krahn, we are proud of our instructional program. Our goal is for all students to demonstrate mastery of the statewide curriculum, the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Once mastered, success on the state assessment (TAKS) will most certainly follow. Our students will continue to benefit from high expectations, a shared vision of quality education, and open communication between home and school.
