Parent GT Referral |
The Office of Advanced Academics has adopted a district-wide testing timeline this year. If you would like to refer your child for Klein’s Gifted and Talented Program, please stop by the campus and pick up a referral packet from the front office. The deadline for returning the packet is September 24, 2010. If you have questions about referring your child for G/T, Cynthia Galindo, Instructional Officer for Advanced Academics, will be presenting a parent workshop “Should I Refer My Child?” in early September. Please refer to the Advanced Academics web site for location and time. www.kleinisd.net/default.aspx?name=iss.ci.gt.ident
For students in grades 1-12, parent and teacher referrals, as well as ability testing will take place in the fall and achievement testing if necessary will be in the spring semester. All kindergarten students will be administered an ability test in the fall, so it is not necessary to refer your kindergartener at this time. |
