Semester Exam |
|
|
 |
On January 14, 2008, desktop publishing students will take a semester exam. We follow the same rules as the high schools. If a student is absent for the semester exam in a high school credit class, a doctor's note is required to excuse the absence and allow the student to take a make-up exam.
Each six-weeks grade counts 28% of the semester average. The semester exam counts 16% of the semester average. The semester average determines whether or not the student earns high school credit. | |

Class Overview |
Desktop Publishing is a full year, high school credit course. Students will use a variety of software tools to learn to create appealing products such as flyers, brochures, programs, posters, etc. Students will also use a digital camera to gather images that will be used in the memory book and the 8th grade video. There is a semester exam at the end of each semester. |

Grading & Other Information |
Grades are weighted as follows:
60% Major Grades (Tests, Projects)
40% Daily Grades (practice, quizzes, small in-class projects)
Homework is rarely given and is never more than 10% of overall grade.
Students must keep their Mustang Mates up-to-date! There will be at least one and perhaps two Mustang Mate checks every six weeks! It's an easy 100 and a silly zero. |
