Welcome to 6th grade math and Wunderlich!

My name is Mrs. Lowrey and I teach 6th grade math. Before beginning my teaching career 8 years ago I was a Civil Engineer so I appreciate the importance of a good solid foundation in math. We will have a very busy, exciting year and I promise to do everything possible to make your experience positive and productive.

There will be homework most nights (including Friday) so make sure to always check your Cat tracker. I will list the homework weekly on the web page and also post test dates. I am always more than pleased to help you and will stay after or come early ANYTIME you want additional tutoring or just a chance to check your understanding. Remember I am here to help you learn!

TESTS
Our test days are Monday and Thursday. I send home a study guide before each test. Please go over every problem on the study guide with your child and sign the study guide. A parent signature on the study guide earns your child bonus points on the test. Students will not be given an unlimted amount of time to complete a test. Mastery is not just knowing the answer, but knowing it within a reasonable amout of time. Students who do not master a test are to complete and return a TEST CORRECTION form, which requires a parent signature.
