We have studied about seeds and plants. We learned most plants grow from seeds so we examined lima bean seeds.
We wore our lab coats and safety glasses to protect our eyes. We each got a seed that had been soaked in water. Then we carefully pulled off the seed coat that protects the seed.
We separated the 2 parts of the seed to see the new plant inside.
