Ms. Angela Wrigglesworth, Klenk's 2012 Teacher of the Year, has been named Klein ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year. Ms. Wrigglesworth is a 4th grade reading and language arts teacher.

Lamar Award Presented to Mr. Tom Youngblood |

Congratulation to Mr. Tom Youngblood, a resource teacher at Klenk Elementary School, who was presented the Mirabeau B. Lamar Award by The Masonic Lodge 1434 at the May 14 Klein ISD Board of Trustees meeting. The Lamar Award is given annually to an educator who exemplifies the ideals of teaching and encouraging youth to grow to their fullest potential and become a vital part of our society.

2012-2013 School Supplies |

School supply packets are available by preorder for the 2012-2013 school year. Order forms are due by May 31 and are available through your child’s teacher, in the front office, and on our Klenk campus website. Prepackaged school supplies are available through preorder ONLY and will NOT be available for purchase in August.
Packets that are ordered in advance will be waiting in your student’s classroom on the first day of school. Starting August 29 through September 7th, the Klenk School Store will be open daily from 7:30 to 9:00 am. The school store carries all the items on our school supply list for your convenience.

GT Parent Organization Meeting |

The Gifted and Talented Parent Organization (GTPO) will resume their monthly meetings for the spring semester on Wednesday, January 25th from 6-7pm at the Klein Instructional Center in room 100. Please come and join us as we discuss relevant topics on gifted and talented education and work together to support our district’s GT population.

Box Tops for Education |

Did you know that each box top is worth 10 cents when redeemed for Klenk Elementary? Tables will be set up in the alcove in the front hallway with boxes for each grade level. The grade level that submits the most box tops will be rewarded with a special treat from P.T.O.
Send your box tops to school in an envelope or sandwich bag with your child's name and his/her teacher's name on it. Please check that the box tops are not expired.

Standardized Dress Code |

Navy, red, or white shirt with a collar, no logos, pictures, or insignias, must be tucked in
Navy or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, or jumpers worn with a belt if garment has belt loops
Rubber soled shoes worn with socks
Sweaters or jackets to be worn inside must be navy, red, or white
Outdoor coats or jackets may be any color but may not be worn inside

Visiting Our School |

All visitors to our building are required to stop by the office and sign in before going to the cafeteria or instructional area. You will be asked to present a photo I.D. as you sign in. Only parents are permitted to eat lunch with their child.
Any person wishing to volunteer in a Klein school must undergo a criminal background check. For more information on volunteering please use the link below.
