Kleb Intermediate School opened in 1981. Encompassed by surrounding neighborhoods, Kleb is located 40 minutes from downtown Houston with a student population of approximately 1250 students and 85 faculty and staff. Sixth through eighth grades' required course work includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and physical education. In addition to these required courses, elective courses in the areas of fine arts, foreign language, speech, and technology are offered. Course levels include gifted and talented, honors, regulars, and special services.
Construction on a new campus began in 1990, in order to accommodate population growth. The current campus opened in 1992.
The Kleb Intermediate School faculty and staff believe that all students can learn. Our school's purpose is to provide a quality instructional program for students, while fostering patriotism and citizenship, cultivating self-discipline, orderly respect for others and teaching skills necessary for each student to assume responsibility as a productive citizen in our society. The faculty accepts the commitment to teach students in a caring, safe, and orderly environment in the endeavor to help each student reach his/her maximum academic potential.
