Cafeteria Note
Starting Monday, May 12, students will not be permitted to borrow money in the cafeteria to purchase breakfast or lunch. Students in need of lunch must see a cafeteria worker to receive a sandwich. If you owe money in your PIN account, it must be repaid by Friday, May 16.
2008-2009 Orientation and Supply Sale Dates Have been set
Please mark these dates on your calendar for the 2008-2009 school year orientation and annual NJHS School Supply Sale.

  • Thursday, May 15 - 5th grade Parent Meeting - Cafeteria, 7 pm
  • Tuesday, August 12 - School Supply Sale - Cafeteria, 8 am - 12 pm and 4 pm - 8 pm
  • Wednesday, August 13 - New Student Orientation, 5 pm - 7 pm
    • 2008-2009 New Student Registration
    New student registration for the 2008-2009 school year will be held August 4th – 8th and August 11th – 15th, between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

    Evening hours for registration will be offered Tuesday, August 12th and Thursday, August
    14th from 5 pm to 7 pm, in addition to the daytime hours, to accommodate working parents who may need evenings for registration.

    Please call Mrs. Ortmann at 832-249-5528 to make an appointment to register your child. The registration process may take up to an hour. Registration cannot be completed online.

    In addition, please check the Registration link at the left for information on registration, school supplies, dress code, and other procedures. Thank you.
    KISD Bond Election
    Last week the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to call a bond election for Saturday, May 10.
    The first bond information can now be found on the district Web site at www.kleinisd.net by clicking on the BOND icon or by clicking this Bond Election Information Link.

    Student Council: If you plan on running for Student Council officer or KHS representative for the 2008-2009 school year, permission slips are due Monday, May 12.

    NJHS News: Attention all 7th Grade NJHS Candidates. Please turn in your blue candidate sheet by 4:05 pm on Monday, May 12, to Mr. Jantz or Mrs. Bishop.

    Memory Books: Today is the last day to purchase a Memory Book. The cost is $20.00

    Soccer News: Any 8th grade boy interested in trying out for Klein High Soccer team next year should see his counselor this week.
