Please read with your child at home. As you read be sure to point to each word as you go. Your student may be able to identify some sight words such as I, and, the, it, at, you, this, is, and see. He or she may also be able to read the color words as well. After reading, see if your child can answer questions about the book by pointing to pictures, etc. Maybe even retell you events in the story.

Don't forget to review letters, letter sounds and numbers as well. Making a counting game would be fun! Be sure to include counting by 5's and 10's!
