I'm Kathryn Bloodworth, and I teach 6th grade PreAP/GT math, 8th grade honors math (Pre-Algebra), and number sense. I am also the sponsor of the National Junior Honor Society, and I coach cross country and swimming.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful year with our Doerre students!

3-ring binder
Notebook paper
5 dividers -- notes, warm up, daily (homework), quiz, and test
Pencils
Pen (any color)
Spiral (optional)
Ruler

BEHAVIOR
Take care of locker and restroom visits before class.
Bring all supplies to class every day.
Do not chew gum or eat other food during class.
Keep textbook covered at all times.
Complete all work in pencil.
Wait to be dismissed from class by the teacher, not the bell.
Extend courtesy to all.

ABSENCES
It is the student’s responsibility to get missed notes and work.
A quiz or test will need to be made up.
Follow the absence policy in the handbook for daily work.

GRADING
Test days are on Wednesday and Friday.
Daily grades – 30% of overall average
Homework grades – 10% of overall average
Test grades – 60% of overall average

MISC.
Use your binder reminder for all assignments.
Expect homework every night.

Tutoring will be offered on Thursday at 7:55 am. for Pre-Algebra students and on Friday mornings at the same time for 6th PreAP/GT students. We will start tutoring after the progress reports come out during the first six weeks.

MATH CLUB
Meetings are on Wednesday mornings at 8:00.
