There is a $3.00 fee, set by the district, to help cover the cost of running a computer lab.

Since Keyboarding is for 1/2 of a high school credit, a comprehensive final exam is mandatory. The final exam will be given at the end of the semester.

The semester grade is calculated as:
1st six-weeks = 28%
2nd six-weeks = 28%
3rd six-weeks = 28%
Final exam = 16%

Our Course Objectives are:
(1) Learn Basic Keyboarding Skills
(2) Work on Speed and Accuracy
(3) Learn Formatting Skills in Microsoft WORD, such as how to format letters, memorandums, reports, outlines, and tables

Supplies:
The only supply that the student needs to bring every day is a pen (blue or black) or pencil. All other supplies are kept in the classroom.

30% Tests
30% Timed-Writings

Attendance:
Keyboarding is a high school credit class. The student will receive 1/2 credit upon successful completion of the course (70 semester average or better). Pay careful attention to
absences--9 per semester is the limit. There will also be a final exam for our class that is required. Students will be fully prepared with reviews and expectations before the exam is administered.
