Students and Parents,
I would like to welcome you all back to school because I know that for a student to be a success it is something that involves the entire famiily, not just the child, and I would especially like to welcome you to my classroom. I am very excited about this school year, and I hope you are too. I have taught here at Klein for twelve years of my thirty-one year teaching career, and during that career I have taught all levels of English from seventh grade through twelfth grade. I started my career with eleven years at Eisenhower High School in the Aldine District and then taught for eight years at Northland Christian School before coming to Klein. Both of my children spent most of their school careers here in Klein and graduated from KHS (Go Bearkats!) and then Texas A&M (Go Aggies!). My son, who lives with his wife in Austin, has spent a great portion of his career writing so his English teacher mom is quite proud. My daughter-in-law (also a former Aggie)has just moved from being an Ag teacher to being a transition counselor in the counselor's office of her school in Cedar Park School District outside Austin. And last but never least, my daughter has just finished her first teaching year as a second grade teacher in Pflugerville ISD, and did a great job, if I do say so myself. I am very proud of how important education has always been in my own children's lives, and I hope every one of my students will have a great love of learning when they leave my classroom in June. Have a great year. |
