Hi, I am Joy Quandahl, the Counselor at Frank Elementary. This is my 23rd year working in Klein ISD and my 15th year as an elementary school counselor. I have 8 years of classroom teaching experience. In 1991, when Klein began their Elementary Guidance and Counseling Program, I was one of the original three elementary counselors. I have worked at three other schools in Klein, before coming to Frank. I have earned my Master's in Counseling in 1989 from Sam Houston State University. Then, in 2001, I was awarded a PhD in Educational Pyschology from the University of Houston.

My goal is to help every child feel sucessful and to encourage them to set goals for their future. I enjoy direct contact with students and I spend most of my day meeting with students in classrooms or in my office. I am also available to meet with parents about their concerns.
