Homework assignments can be found in your child's planner. If your child is absent for one or more days they will be given an absent folder to take home to complete. Your child will have the same number of days to complete homework assignments as the days they were absent. Your child should come home with a folder with missed assignments that they are required to complete.

Now that TAKS math testing is over we will be working on math problems that will be preparation for some of the math that the students will be seeing in the 6th grade. We will be adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators. We will also be multiplying and dividing fractions.

In Social Studies we will be studying the time period of 1800 through the Civil War. Chapters 11 and 12 in the book.
